Creating the Visual Identity for a College Industrial Design Exhibition

Project Brief

CREA is the annual exhibition of the industrial design department at UID, giving students a space to showcase their ideas and skills through a new theme each year. This year’s theme, Indian Design Heritage, focused on exploring India’s design legacy. I had the opportunity to lead the branding team, working on the visual identity and design guidelines to ensure a clear and consistent representation of the theme.

We knew from the start that we wanted the warmth and vibrancy of Indian culture. This year’s theme, Indian Design Heritage, is expressed through a carefully chosen color palette that draws from India’s diverse design traditions. Each colour holds its own significance, representing different aspects of heritage, craftsmanship, and innovation. Together, they create a visual narrative that reflects the depth and timeless charm of Indian design, blending tradition with a spirit of evolution.
